民政党峇都区部于12月9日(星期日)在峇都慕达政府人民组屋(PPR Batu Muda)，配合居民协会举办了一场穆斯林孩童割礼活动，并赞助了所有的费用。总共有30位穆斯林孩童，包括巫裔与原住民穆斯林孩童参与此项活动。

峇都区民政党服务中心协调员刘华才博士指出，这是峇都慕达政府人民组屋每年都会举办的活动，而今年则由民政党峇都区部一起参与和安排。在割礼仪式前，我们安排了志愿消防队来为孩童们进行冲洗，之后就安排他们到冼都新镇的诊所，由外科医生进行割礼手术。

       

"在马来西亚这个多元文化的国度里，我们秉持一个马来西亚的精神，尊重各种族和宗教的习俗。当这些孩童们完成了割礼手术回到家中后，我们也亲自登门探访，并送上一份小青包，以示鼓励。"刘华才表示。  

刘华才博士也补充，这也是民政党峇都区部在推广"我爱峇都"计划下所展开的一系列活动之一。民政党将持续服务峇都国会选区的居民，并解决他们的民生问题和提高他们的生活素质。

            Last Sunday (9 December), Gerakan Batu Division and the residents association have jointly organized a circumcision ceremony for Muslim boys in the PPR Batu Muda and sponsored all the costs. A total of 30 Muslim boys including Malay and indigenous Muslim boys have participated in this ceremony.

            Batu Gerakan Service Centre Coordinator Dr. Dominic Lau pointed out that it was an annual event held in the PPR Batu Muda, while this year Gerakan Batu Division has taken part and made arrangement for this year's ceremony. Prior to the circumcision ceremony, we have arranged volunteer fire team to give the children a wash, then the boys were arranged to go to a clinic in Bandar Baru Sentul to undergo a circumcision surgery conducted by a surgeon.

            " Malaysia is a multicultural country, we uphold a 1Malaysia spirit, respect the religious practices of all races. After the boys have undergone the circumcision surgery and returned to their home, we also paid them a visit in person and presented a small green packet to them as an encouragement," said Dr. Dominic Lau.

             Dr. Dominic Lau also added that it was one of a series of programmes under the "I Love Batu" plan that Gerakan Batu Division has been promoting. Gerakan would continue to serve the residents of Batu parliament constituency, solve their livelihood problem and improve their quality of life.

上周日(12月16日)，民政党峇都区部同人特别安排了30户峇都区的贫苦家庭，来到白沙罗达迈的宜康省超级市场，让这30户家庭免费购物，每户家庭获得购买总价值200零吉的物品。

峇都区民政党服务中心协调员刘华才博士指出，他们举办这项有意义的活动是要让这些贫苦家庭买到他们真正需要的物品，因为他们发现很多时候通过派送礼篮未必能达到他们的需求。当天，这些家庭大都购买一些日常食用品，如白米、食油、饼干等；也有些家庭趁这机会为孩子们添购开学用品，大家都买得不亦乐乎。        

"适逢圣诞节和学校新学年开学的来临，我们希望能献上一份关怀与爱心予弱势群体，并不分种族与宗教，以减轻他们的经济负担。在马来西亚这个多元文化的国度里，我们秉持互相尊重的精神，共同欢庆各种族的节日。"刘华才表示。

"值得一提的是，我们发现大部分的家庭都没有交通工具，一些长者也行动不便。因此我们特别租用了巴士，载送所有参与的家庭成员，让他们享受全家购物的欢乐。虽然民政党在308失去峇都国会议席而缺乏政府拨款，但我们仍然积极寻求商家的赞助，以继续帮助有需要的一群，我们也借此感谢宜康省的慷慨赞助。"刘华才补充。

            Last Sunday (16 December), members of Gerakan Batu Division have arranged 30 poor families from the Batu area to shop for free in the Econsave located in Damansara Damai, each family was allowed to buy items that worth a total of RM 200.

            Batu Gerakan Service Centre Coordinator Dr. Dominic Lau Hoe Chai pointed out that the purpose they organised such a meaningful programme was to allow these poor families to be able to buy the necessities they really needed, because they have found out that very often hampers presented to them may not be able to meet their needs. On that day, these families have commonly bought some daily food supplies such as rice, cooking oil, biscuits; some of the families also took the chance to buy school supplies for their children, all of them seemed to enjoy it.

            "In conjunction with Christmas and school reopen for the new calendar year, we hope to dedicate our love and care for the disadvantaged groups regardless of race and creed, in order to levitate their financial burden. Malaysia as a multicultural country, we uphold the spirit of mutual respect, together we celebrate the festivals of all races," said Dr. Dominic Lau.

            "We found out that most of the families do not posses a transport, some of the elders also plagued with reduced mobility. Therefore we specially rented a bus to carry all the participating families, so that they could enjoy the fun with family shopping. Although Gerakan lost the Batu parliamentary seat in 308 and now left with limited government allocations, but we still actively looking for sponsorships from companies, in order to continue helping those in need, we also would like to take this chance to thank the generous help by Econsave," added Dr. Dominic Lau.

            Dr. Dominic Lau also added that it was one of the programmes under the "I Love Batu" plan that has been promoted by Gerakan Batu Division. 冼都巴刹与甘榜朱巴达道路破损,峇都民政党安排隆市局重铺柏油

在民政党峇都区部的安排与全面跟进下，吉隆坡市政局分别在峇都区两处的道路完成了重铺柏油工程，而峇都区民政党服务中心协调员刘华才博士也在早前分别前往这两个地区，巡视完成好的重铺柏油工程。

刘华才博士表示，这两处道路分别是在冼都巴刹和甘榜朱巴达。他们是在接获当地居民的投诉后，指当地的道路多处破洞损坏不堪，给居民造成诸多的不便，就在第一时间将投诉提呈吉隆坡市政局。而吉隆坡市政局也安排了铺路工作。  

"在民政党峇都区部的跟进下，吉隆坡市政局按照计划进行并完成了铺路工作。我们要感谢吉隆坡市政局的全力配合和合作，带给居民们更多的便利。这也是我们向人民兑现我们的承诺，说到做到。"刘华才指出。

            Under Gerakan Batu Division's arrangement and comprehensive follow-up, DBKL has completed its asphalt road resurface projects in two locations, while Batu Gerakan Service Centre Coordinator Dr. Dominic Lau Hoe Chai has also visited both areas before this to inspect the recently completed asphalt road resurface project.

            Dr. Dominic Lau said the damaged roads were in Sentul Pasar and Kampung Chubadak. They immediately informed the DBKL as soon as they have received complaints from the local residents saying that roads in the local neighbourhood were full of potholes and badly damaged, causing a lot of inconvenience to the residents. While the DBKL has arranged for road resurface works after the report was made.

            "Under the follow-up by Gerakan Batu Division, DBKL has completed the road resurface works as scheduled. We would like to thank the DBKL for their full cooperation that brings more convenience to the residents. This is the way we fulfil the promises we have made in prior, Janji Ditepati," said Dr. Dominic Lau.

            Dr. Dominic Lau also added that this was also one of the programmes under the "I Love Batu" plan that Gerakan Batu Division has been successfully followed-up. 甘榜火车路严重地陷威胁居民安全,峇都民政党允安排隆市局速抢修

上周六（12月8日）民政党峇都区部同人在峇都区民政党服务中心协调员刘华才博士的率领下走访了冼都甘榜火车路(Kg. Railway) ，因为服务中心收到当地居民的投报，指甘榜内的一条道路发生严重地陷，形成一个大洞，居民行驶经过都觉得相当害怕，严重威胁当地居民的安全。        

                刘华才博士指出，根据向居民了解，该条道路经常有罗里经过，导致路面破洞，久而久之就形成大洞和地陷。再加上这条路是甘榜居民每天的必经之路，若仍置之不理，将构成危险，后果不堪设想。因此他们寻求民政党峇都区部的协助，以协助向吉隆坡市政局交涉，并尽快采取补救行动。

"基于居民和公众的安全着想，民政党峇都区部将联络吉隆坡市政局，尽快安排修补工作，同时也彻底检查地质问题，找出造成地陷的主因。"刘华才补充。

Land subsidence in Kg Railway is seriously endangering the safety of the residents

            Last Saturday (8 December), members of Batu Gerakan Division led by Batu Gerakan Service Centre Coordinator Dr. Dominic Lau Hoe Chai have visited Kampung Railway in Sentul, it is because the service centre has earlier received complaints from the local residents claiming that there is a serious land subsidence happened to one of the road in the Kampung and formed a big hole, residents who have passed by were terrified by the scene, the safety of the residents is seriously endangered.

            Dr. Dominic Lau pointed out that as informed by the residents, the road is frequently used by lorries that cause the road surface to be covered with potholes, over time they gradually formed a big hole and land subsidence. Plus, the road is an important daily passage for the residents of the Kampung, if the issue is left unattended, it will pose a danger and the consequences could be disastrous. Therefore they sought the help from Gerakan Batu Division to provide assistance in asking the DBKL to take remedial action at least time possible.

            "In view of the safety of the public, Gerakan Batu Division will contact DBKL and promptly make arrangement for remedial actions to be taken, while at the same time also to carry out a thorough check on the geological problems, in order to look for the main cause that has led the land subsidence problems," added Dr. Dominic Lau.

            Dr. Dominic Lau also added that Gerakan would continue to serve the residents of Batu parliamentary constituency, solve their livelihood problem. 

怡保路4英里大树未修砍威胁居民安全,峇都民政党允提供协助

上周五（11月30日）民政党峇都区部同人走访了怡保路4英里，收到当地居民的投报，指该区的多棵大树多年来没有修砍，大树越长越高，摇摇欲坠，尤其是大树附近的木屋区居民更为担心。      

                刘华才博士指出，居民们已经多次向吉隆坡市政局反映，但迟迟未有行动。他们担心一旦暴风雨来袭，可能导致大树断裂，压至他们的木屋，后果将不堪设想。因此他们寻求民政党峇都区的协助，希望能帮忙与吉隆坡市政局交涉和协调。

"基于居民和公众的安全着想，民政党峇都区部将联络吉隆坡市政局，商讨尽快安排修砍大树的工作。"刘华才补充。

冼都再也住宅区无垃圾车服务,峇都民政党允助解决问题

上周四（11月29日）民政党峇都区部同人在峇都区民政党服务中心协调员刘华才博士的率领下走访了冼都再也(Sentul Jaya)的Lorong Sentul Bahagia 1，以了解当地居民所面对的民生问题。

针对该地区居民的投诉，指该住宅区没有垃圾车定时到来收集垃圾服务，导致当地的垃圾问题日益严重，居民把一棵大树下当成"垃圾场"，都把垃圾丢在那边，导致垃圾累积越来越多，变成了"垃圾山"，臭气冲天，环境卫生情况非常糟糕，令人担忧。        

                刘华才博士指出，根据与当地居民所了解，该处附近其实是有两个大垃圾桶，但却是属于当地一间工厂所拥有，因此不允许居民使用。所以居民在没有办法的情况下，唯有把垃圾丢在大树下。

"一个住宅区竟然没有垃圾车定时到来收集垃圾的服务，这情况实在令人费解。民政党峇都区部将联络吉隆坡市政局和Alam Flora当局，反映这项问题，尽快解决这项问题。"刘华才补充。

            Last Thursday (29 November), members of Gerakan Batu Division led by Batu Gerakan Service Centre Coordinator Dr. Dominic Lau Hoe Chai visited the Lorong Sentul Bahagia 1 in Sentul Jaya, in order to have a grasp over the livelihood problems that the local residents are facing.

            The local residents have complained that the garbage truck has failed to collect the garbage on a regular basis in the residential area which has caused the garbage piled up as a result, the residents have dumped their garbage under one local tree as if it is a garbage dump site, the garbage are slowly accumulating and has since become a "garbage hill" with unbearable stench, the hygiene condition is very bad and worrisome.

            Dr. Dominic Lau Hoe Chai pointed out that they have found out from the local residents that there are two large garbage containers nearby but both are owned by one local factory, therefore the residents are not allowed to use them. Hence, with no options left, the residents can only dump their garbage under the big tree.

            "It is a surprise that the garbage truck did not serve the residential area by regularly collecting the garbage on a fixed time schedule, the whole situation is puzzling. Gerakan Batu Division will contact the DBKL and Alam Flora to reflect this problem so that it could be resolved as soon as possible," added Dr. Dominic Lau.

            Dr. Dominic Lau also added that Gerakan would continue to serve the residents of Batu parliament constituency, solve their livelihood problems and improve their quality of life.

峇都民政党积极协助下,火灾灾黎获入住人民组屋批准信

民政党峇都区部同人于昨日(12月5日)偕同联邦直辖区与城市和谐部部长拿督拉惹隆仄，前往冼都新镇社区人民礼堂，颁发入住政府人民组屋的批准信予甘榜石马的9户人家和甘榜朱巴达的7户火灾灾黎，让这些受火灾影响的家庭终获新的住所。  

出席活动的峇都区民政党服务中心协调员刘华才博士指出，灾民们在收到批准信之后都非常高兴，也感激国阵各成员党的帮忙，让他们重获新的居所。他们可以从即日起前往被分配到的峇都区英丹拜杜里政府人民组屋单位，视察单位情况，并处理手续和安排搬迁工作。另外，拉惹隆仄部长也通过联邦直辖区基金会(Yayasan Wilayah Persekutuan) 额外拨款，颁发每户人家500零吉的援助金，以减轻他们经济上的负担。

"虽然当中有一些灾民希望被分配到其他地区的政府人民组屋，但吉隆坡市政局必须视乎有关政府人民组屋是否还有空置单位而定。但无论如何，民政党峇都区部将尽全力为灾民争取，以做出协调。这种种的努力也秉持了国阵政府‘兑现承诺'的理念及‘以民为本'的精神。" 刘华才强调。

            Yesterday (5 December), members of Gerakan Batu Division together with the Minister of Federal Territories and Urban Well-being Datuk Raja Nong Chik have visited the Bandar Baru Sentul community hall in order to hand out the approval letter for occupancy in PPR flat to the 9 families from Kampung Sekma and 7 families from Kampung Chubadak who have lost their homes in the fire recently, so that these affected families could regain a new residence.

Batu Gerakan Service Centre Coordinator Dr. Dominic Lau Hoe Chai who attended the activity pointed out that the victims were excited upon receiving the approval letter and they were grateful over the help extended to them by all the Barisan Nasional component parties so that they could regain a new residence. Starting from today, each of families can go to the PPR flat units allocated to them which are located in Taman Intan Baiduri, Batu, inspect the surroundings, handle the procedures and make arrangement for the relocation. Besides, Minister Datuk Raja Nong Chik also handed out additional appropriation through Yayasan Wilayah Persekutuan by presenting RM 500 relief funds to each family in order to levitate their financial burden.

            "Although some of the victims were hoping to be allocated to the PPR flat located in other areas, but the DBKL has to take into account whether the PPR flat unit is empty before making any decision. But anyway, Gerakan will continue to try our best to fight for the victims in order to do the coordination works. All these efforts were in adherence to the ‘Janji Ditepati' principle and ‘People First' spirit upheld by the Barisan Nasional," stressed Dr. Dominic Lau.

            Dr. Dominic Lau also added that this is one of the services under the "I Love Batu" plan that Gerakan Batu Division has been following-up. Gerakan will continue to serve the residents of Batu parliamentary constituency, solve their livelihood problems and improve their quality of life.

冼都一兴都庙扩建占据公路范围,民政党允与隆市局交涉寻对策

民政党峇都区部同人于昨日(12月4日)走访了冼都(Sentul Park)一间刚建好的兴都庙，与该庙负责人会面，以了解他们目前所面对的问题。

参与活动的峇都区民政党服务中心协调员刘华才博士指出，这间兴都庙扩建工程已近完工，并已开始启用，但建筑物却占据旁边的公路部分范围，导致该道路变得窄小。该庙负责人担心会遭吉隆坡市政局取缔，或被令拆除刚建好的庙宇，因此寻求民政党峇都区部的协助，以商讨解决对策。         

                "根据了解，这间兴都庙的隔邻有一座发电转站，而庙宇之所以会扩建占据一部分公路范围，是因为要符合国能公司的条例，即规定发电转站的30尺以内不可有任何建筑物。"刘华才表示。

"经过商讨与研究，我们决定将联络吉隆坡市政局，建议把该条道路改为单行道，再在前头设置U转，以让车辆进行回转，但却需动用到该地区发展商的土地。我们也将与有关发展商会面，提出有关建议，竭尽所能协助该兴都庙解决问题。"刘华才补充。

            Yesterday (4 December), members of Gerakan Batu Division visited a newly built Hindu temple in Sentul Park and met with the person-in-charge of the temple in order to understand the problems that they are facing currently.

            Batu Gerakan Service Centre Coordinator Dr. Dominic Lau Hoe Chai who joined the visitation said that the expansion project of the Hindu temple is almost complete and has since been put into use, however the building occupies one section of the road situated beside the temple, causing the road now became narrower. The person-in-charge of the temple is worried that the DBKL will take action against it or order the newly built temple to be demolished; therefore he has sought the help from Gerakan Batu Division in order to discuss and come out with a solution.

            "It is understood that there is a power transmission station nearby to the Hindu temple, whilst the expansion of the temple is occupying one section of the road simply because it has to follow the regulation laid down by the TNB which stipulates that there should be no building built within the 30 feet radius of the power transmission station." said Dr. Dominic Lau.

            "After discussion and study, we decided to contact the DBKL and proposed that the road be turned into a one-way road with the setting up of a U-turn up ahead so that the vehicles can make a U-turn, however it is necessary to expropriate the land of the local developer. We will meet the developer to inform them about the suggestion and try our best to help the Hindu temple solve the problem," added Dr. Dominic Lau.

            Dr. Dominic Lau also added that Gerakan would continue to serve the residents of Batu parliamentary constituency, take care of the disadvantaged groups, solve their livelihood problems and improve their quality of life.

发展商完成拆除甘榜石马木屋区,峇都民政党移交额外赔偿金予居民

民政党峇都区部同人于昨日在峇都区民政党服务中心协调员刘华才博士的率领下，前往甘榜石马，代表发展商移交额外的一万零吉赔偿金给每一户完成拆除工作的5个单位木屋居民。 

刘华才博士指出，居民们除了领到发展商设定的赔偿金，在民政党峇都区部与发展商交涉和全力争取下，这5户人家也额外每一户再拿到一万零吉的赔偿金，当作津贴帮补他们的搬迁费用，让整起事件可以圆满落幕。

 "因昨晚下起连绵大雨，我们庆幸获得其中一户人家借出他的住家来让我们进行支票移交仪式。我们特此感谢这家的主人。" 刘华才强调。

"另外，我们也接获现仍住在甘榜石马居民的反映，指担心发展商一旦开始工程，运输罗里进出次数频繁将导致现有的道路容易损坏，灰尘满天飞也可能影响居民健康。因此居民建议发展商另开一条路，供进出之用，不要用到目前居民每日进出使用的马路。我们将向发展商反映此事，以作进一步安排。" 刘华才补充。

            Yesterday, members of Gerakan Batu Division led by Batu Gerakan Service Centre Coordinator Dr. Dominic Lau Hoe Chai went to Kampung Sekma to hand over the extra compensations of RM10,000 on behalf of the developer to each of the 5 families who have their wooden houses demolished.

            Dr. Dominic Lau pointed out that apart from receiving the compensations as promised from the developer, under the strenuous effort by Gerakan Batu Division to negotiate and to fight, each of these 5 families received extra compensations of RM10,000 as allowances to cover the cost of the relocation works and set the stage for the whole incident to come to an end.

            "Last night, there was a heavy downpour, we were glad to have one of the families agreed to lend us their house to hold the cheque handling ceremony. We would especially like to thank the owner of the house," stressed Dr. Dominic Lau.

            "Besides, residents who are still currently resided in Kampung Sekma have reflected to us that they are concerned about once the project starts the frequent passage of transport lorry will lead to the road being easily damaged, dusty surrounding will also affect the health of the residents. Therefore, the residents suggest that the developer opens up another road for passage and not to use the road that is currently used by the residents for their daily passage. We will reflect to the developer pertaining to this matter for further arrangement," added Dr. Dominic Lau.

            Dr. Dominic Lau also added that it is one of the services under the "I Love Batu" plan that Gerakan Batu Division has been following-up. Gerakan would continue to serve the residents of Batu parliamentary constituency, solve their livelihood problems and improve their quality of life.

发展商今拆除甘榜石马木屋区,峇都民政党助安排居民搬迁工作

民政党峇都区部同人于今天一早在峇都区民政党服务中心协调员刘华才博士的率领下，前往甘榜石马，监督发展商于今早进行的木屋拆除行动，也同时协助居民们的搬迁工作。 

刘华才博士指出，由于之前已经和即将被拆除的5个单位木屋居民达成共识，因此今早的拆除工作进行得很顺利，成功拆除了3个单位，剩余的两个单位将在今晚进行拆除工作，居民们也全力配合，给予充分合作。

"值得一提的是，居民们除了领到发展商设定的赔偿金，在民政党峇都区部与发展商交涉和全力争取下，居民们也额外再拿到一些津贴，帮补他们的搬迁费用。因此，整个事件算是告一段落。" 刘华才强调。

"在此，我也感谢所有居民和发展商的全力配合，让这起事件可以圆满落幕。我要强调的是，只要互相达成共识，多一点沟通，任何拆除行动也可以在和平的情况下进行，不一定要示威抗议，这也不是国阵政府的处事作风。" 刘华才补充。

            This morning, members of Gerakan Batu Division led by Batu Gerakan Service Centre Coordinator Dr. Dominic Lau Hoe Chai went to Kampung Sekma in order to monitor the demolition work carried out by the developer, while at the same time to assist the residents on their relocation.

            Dr. Dominic Lau pointed out that due to consensus has already been reached in the earlier with the families of the 5 units of wooden houses that were going to be torn down, the demolition work has been going smoothly, the residents also coordinated well and gave full cooperation.

            "It is worth mentioning that apart from receiving the compensation as promised from the developer, the residents were also given extra allowances after the strenuous efforts by Gerakan Batu Division to negotiate and fight from the developer in order to cover the cost of the relocation works. This marked the end of the issue in a whole," said Dr. Dominic Lau.

            "I would like to take this opportunity to thank the residents and the developer for their full cooperation, so that the incident could come to an end. I would like to stress that as long as consensus can be reached with more communication, any demolition works can be carried out in a peaceful atmosphere, it is not necessary to have protests, this is not the approach of Barisan Nasional government to deal with things," added Dr. Dominic Lau.

            Dr. Dominic Lau also added that this is one of the services under the "I Love Batu" plan that Gerakan Batu Division has followed-up. Gerakan would continue to serve the residents of Batu parliamentary constituency, solve their livelihood problems and improve the quality of life. 

峇都民政党努力安排下,所有火灾灾黎获分配人民组屋

民政党峇都区部同人于昨日(11月28日)在峇都区民政党服务中心协调员刘华才博士的率领下，再次前往冼都新镇社区人民礼堂探望甘榜石马和甘榜朱巴达的火灾灾黎，并派发援助金给甘榜朱巴达的受影响家庭，以减轻他们的经济负担。  

刘华才博士指出，他们也为所有灾黎捎来好消息，民政党峇都区部正式获得吉隆坡市政局的通知，隆市长已经发出指示，所有甘榜石马和甘榜朱巴达的每一户受火灾影响的家庭将获得分配政府人民组屋，让他们重获新的居所。

"灾民在得知这项消息后都雀跃不已，也感激民政党峇都区部的帮忙。值得一提的是，这项安排得来不易。本来这班住于私人土地木屋区的灾民，若按照当局的规定是无法获得政府人民组屋的。但在民政党峇都区部尽全力为灾民争取下打破先例，民政党峇都区部连续多个星期与隆市政局交涉，及和发展商协商为没有获得人民组屋的另一批甘榜石马居民争取更高的赔偿等。这种种的努力也实践了国阵政府的‘兑现承诺'的理念及‘以民为本'的精神。" 刘华才强调。

"我们也要借此感谢隆市长亲自着手处理这项安排，秉持隆市政局提供关怀和有价值的服务给有需要的人民。所有受影响的家庭也将在近期内获得隆市政局发出的入住人民组屋的批准信。" 刘华才补充。

            Yesterday (28 November), members of Gerakan Batu Division led by Batu Gerakan Service Centre Coordinator Dr. Dominic Lau Hoe Chai have once again dropped by at the Bandar Baru Sentul community hall in order to visit the fire victims of Kampung Sekma and Kampung Chubadak and to hand out relief funds to the affected families of Kampung Chubadak as a mean to levitate their financial burden.

            Dr. Dominic Lau pointed out that they also brought good news to the victims that Gerakan Batu Division has earlier received notice from the DBKL that the KL Mayor has instructed that each of the affected families in Kampung Sekma and Kampung Chubadak be allocated a PPR flat unit so that they can get a new residence.

            "The victims were so excited to learn about the news and they were also grateful to Gerakan Batu Division for the help. It is worth mentioning that the arrangement was not easy to make. It is because that these victims who have been living in the squatter area before this are not eligible to be allocated the PPR flat if the rules set up by the authority are to be followed. However under the all-out effort by Gerakan Batu Division to fight for the victims and break the precedent, Gerakan Batu Division has been continually negotiating with the DBKL for weeks as well as the developer in order to demand for higher compensation for a group of residents from Kampung Sekma who have their application for PPR flat rejected. All the efforts have put into practice the "Janji Ditepati concept and the "People First" spirit of the BN government," said Dr. Dominic Lau.

            "We also would like to take this chance to thank the KL Mayor for personally made the arrangement, upholding the DBKL in offering concern and worthwhile services to the people who are in need. All of the affected families will receive the approval letter to move into the PPR flat from the DBKL in the near future," added Dr. Dominic Lau.

            Dr. Dominic Lau also added that this was also one of the services under the "I Love Batu" plan that has been successfully followed-up by the Gerakan Batu Division. Gerakan would continue to serve the residents of Batu parliamentary constituency, solve their livelihood problems and improve their quality of life.
