民政党峇都区部等人在峇都区民政党服务中心协调员刘华才博士的率领下，于今早在增江南区菜市场派发第二期一个马来西亚人民援助金申请表格，当地居民反应踊跃，表格在短短1小时内一扫而空，总共派发了800份的申请表格。
参与活动的峇都区民政党服务中心协调员刘华才博士指出，基于当地的居民，尤其是长者们，早前频频询问民政党峇都区部有关第二期一个马来西亚人民援助金(BR1M) 的消息。因此，我们决定走访当地人群众多的菜市场，派发申请表格，也特别方便长者们，让他们无需到政府部门索取或上网下载。
"在活动中，我们也帮忙申请者尤其是长者填写表格，更特别准备影印机，让申请者复印身份证及其他需要呈交的文件。这次的表格要求有银行户口的申请者填写银行户口资料。接下来民政党峇都区和各国阵成员党将陆续在峇都各地区、巴刹、购物中心、组屋区等设站，发放申请表格给峇都区的居民。"刘华才表示。
刘华才博士也补充，这也是民政党峇都区部在推广"我爱峇都"计划下所展开的一系列活动之一。民政党将持续服务峇都国会选区的居民，照顾弱势群体，并解决他们的民生问题和提高他们的生活素质。

Members of Gerakan Batu Division led by Batu Gerakan Service Centre Coordinator Dr. Dominic Lau Hoe Chai distributed BR1M 2.0 form at Jinjang Selatan market in this morning, the local residents showed an enthusiastic response, all the forms were taken in just one hour, a total of 800 copies were distributed.
Batu Gerakan Service Centre Coordinator Dr. Dominic Lau who joined the activity pointed out that due to the local residents, especially the senior citizens who have earlier made frequent inquiries to the Gerakan Batu Division about the news of the BR1M 2.0. Therefore, we decided to pay a visit to the local market which is always crowded with people in order to distribute the application form, particularly the move was for the convenience of the senior citizens, so that they need not to go to the government office to obtain a copy of the form, or download via the internet.
"At the event, we also helped the applicants, especially the senior citizens to fill out the form, even a photocopy machine was specially arranged to put in service in order to allow the applicants to make a photocopy of the identification card as well as other documents which are required for the submission. This time around, the application form requires applicants who are having a bank account to fill out the information about the bank account. Next, Gerakan Batu Division and other BN component parties will set up counters at markets, shopping malls and flat areas around Batu constituency in turn in order to distribute the application forms to the residents of Batu constituency," said Dr. Dominic Lau.
Dr. Dominic Lau also added that this was one in a series of activities under the "I Love Batu" plan that has been promoted by Gerakan Batu Division. Gerakan would continue to serve the residents of Batu parliamentary constituency, care for the disadvantaged groups, solve their livelihood problems and improve their quality of life.
