甘榜朱巴达火患毁8木屋,刘华才慰问灾黎予以援助

甘榜朱巴达于昨晚遭火神光顾，烧毁了8间木屋，影响了9户人家，导致44人流离失所。

峇都区民政党服务中心协调员刘华才博士于昨晚第一时间前往巡视火灾现场和慰问受影响的居民，并提供一些必需品如衣服、沙龙等以协助居民。

刘华才博士指出，这已经是峇都区连续两个星期发生火患，上星期则是甘榜石马发生火灾。

"在民政峇都区部的安排下，目前所有灾黎被安顿在冼都新镇社区人民礼堂，并由福利局为受影响的居民提供每日三餐。"

民政峇都区部于今早再次前往探望灾民，发现福利局没有提供矿泉水给灾民。对此，民政峇都区部也特别购买矿泉水给这些灾民，尤其是小孩和糖尿病患者较需要矿泉水饮用。

                "基于早前甘榜石马失火的灾黎也同样安顿在冼都新镇社区人民礼堂，因此目前礼堂显得较为拥挤。民政峇都区部将尽快协助这些灾民申请政府人民组屋，并且跟进及加速申请程序，让他们重获新的住所。"  刘华才补充。

刘华才博士也补充，民政党将持续服务峇都国会选区的居民，并解决他们的民生问题和提高他们的生活素质。

            A fire broke out in Kampung Chubadak last night that left 9 families suffered and caused 44 people to have lost their homes.

Batu Gerakan Service Centre Coordinator Dr. Dominic Lau Hoe Chai immediately rushed to the scene of the fire to inspect and console the affected residents as well as to provide some necessities such as clothes, sarongs and other things to help the residents.

Dr. Dominic Lau pointed out that this was the second time in two weeks that fires have broken out in Batu, last week there was also a fire broke out in Kampung Sekma.

"Under the arrangement by Gerakan Batu Division, currently all the victims have been placed in the community hall in Bandar Baru Sentul and three meals a day will be provided to the affected residents by the Welfare Department."

This morning, Gerakan Batu Division again paid a visit to the victims and found out that the Welfare Department did not provide mineral water to the victims. In this regard, Gerakan Batu Division specially bought some mineral water to be given to the victims, especially the children and diabetics who are more in need of mineral water.

"Before this the fire victims in Kampung Sekma were also placed in the Bandar Baru Sentul community hall, as a result, the hall now seems to be a bit crowded and packed. Gerakan Batu Division will try to help the victims to apply for PPR flats as soon as possible, besides we also will follow-up and speed up the application process so that they will once again have a new residence," said Dr. Dominic Lau.

Dr. Dominic Lau also added that Gerakan will continue to serve the residents of Batu parliamentary constituency and solve their livelihood problems as well as to improve their quality of life.
