民政党于峇都区派发人民援助金2.0,优先派给华裔迎接新年

民政党峇都区部自上星期起已开始陆续发放马来西亚人民援助金2.0给获批准的峇都区居民。第一批获得援助金2.0的峇都区居民人数共有9607位，华裔则有1138位，而也优先派发给华裔居民，以帮补他们来迎接即将来临的农历新年。

    峇都区民政党服务中心协调员刘华才博士指出，与去年不同的是，获批准的申请人士无须等收到批准信才到指定的地点领取援助卷来兑换现金。这次的做法是民政党峇都区部根据获批准的名单逐个通过电话联络他们，直接来到一个地点来领取援助卷。

"我们也为了方便华裔的居民，特别安排在一些华裔居民经常聚集的地方来发放援助卷。至今我们已经在司马宫、关帝庙、人民组屋等地方派发有关援助卷给获批准的华裔居民，并预祝他们新年快乐。"刘华才补充。

刘华才博士也补充，民政党将持续服务峇都国会选区的居民，解决他们的民生问题和提高生活的素质。

            Gerakan Batu Division has begun to distribute the BR1M 2.0 to the Batu residents who were successful in their applications. They were a total of 9607 Batu residents who were the first batch to have received the BR1M, the Chinese residents were given the priority during the distribution in order to cover their expenses while ushering in the upcoming Chinese New Year.

            Batu Gerakan Service Centre Coordinator Dr. Dominic Lau Hoe Chai pointed out that unlike last year, successful applicants need not to wait for the approval letter this time before going to the designated location to receive the cash aid voucher and exchange it for cash money. The method used for this time was that Batu Gerakan Division contacted each successful applicant through phone calling according to the list of successful individuals and asked them to come forward to a specific location to collect the cash aid voucher.

            "In order to facilitate the residents, we made special arrangements so that the distribution activities will be held in places where Chinese residents often gathering around. So far, we have distributed the cash aid voucher to the successful Chinese applicants in places like Sekma Temple, Kuan Ti Temple, PPR flat and a few more locations, we also wished them a Happy Chinese New Year in advance," added Dr. Dominic Lau.

            Dr. Dominic Lau also added that Gerakan will continue to serve the residents of Batu parliamentary constituency, solve their livelihood problems and improve their quality of life.
