（1月30日）上星期，民政党峇都区部同人在峇都区民政党服务中心协调员刘华才博士的率领下走访了增江南区菜市场，除了派送年柑向居民们拜个早年，也关心当地的环境卫生问题。
刘华才博士指出，在派送年柑的过程中，他们接获不少当地居民的投报，大都是有关当地的卫生问题日渐严重，多条沟渠都被垃圾堆满，造成阻塞。虽然当地居民已经向吉隆坡市政局反映，但至今仍未受理。因此他们寻求民政党峇都区部的协助，希望能尽快采取改善行动。
"基于环境的卫生和居民的健康着想，特别是肮脏的环境也同时影响当地的小贩生意和咖啡店业主的业绩，我们将联络Alam Flora 尽快处理，以展开清理工作。"刘华才补充。
刘华才博士也补充，民政党将持续服务峇都国会选区的居民，解决他们的生活起居问题。

Last week, members of Gerakan Batu Division led by Batu Gerakan Service Centre Coordinator Dr. Dominic Lau Hoe Chai have visited the Jinjang Selatan market, apart from greeting the residents Happy Chinese New Year in advance, the group was also solicitous towards the local hygiene and environmental problems.
Dr. Dominic Lau pointed out that in the midst of distributing the mandarin oranges, they received a lot of complaints from the local residents which mainly pointed to the deterioration of the local hygiene problem with each passing day, and ditches were piled with rubbish which caused a blockage. Although the local residents have reflected the problem to the DBKL, however no action was taken so far. Therefore, they sought the assistance from Gerakan Batu Division with a hope to take swift action on making improvement.
"For the sake of the environmental hygiene and the health of the people, especially the filthy environment which is also affecting the businesses of the local hawkers and also the coffee shop owners, we will inform the Alam Flora to take action as soon as possible and start the cleaning works," added Dr. Dominic Lau.
Dr. Dominic Lau also added that Gerakan will continue to serve the residents of Batu parliamentary constituency and solve their livelihood problems.
